Check-Up
Thermostat
Check the thermostat for correct Operation Test the thermostat by adjusting the temperature setting to verify that the A/C unit responds accordingly.
Air Filters
Inspect air filters for dirt, dust, and debris.
Outdoor Unit
Ensure there is at least two feet of clearance around the unit for proper airflow. Visually inspect the outdoor unit for any signs of damage or corrosion.
Indoor Unit
Check for any obstructions around the indoor unit, such as furniture or curtains, that may obstruct airflow. Ensure vents and registers are open and unobstructed to allow for proper air circulation.
Coils
Inspect evaporator and condenser coils for dirt, dust, or debris buildup.
Refrigerant Levels
Check refrigerant levels to ensure they are within the manufacturer’s recommended range.
Electrical Components
Inspect electrical connections and wiring for signs of damage or corrosion. Tighten loose connections
Condensate Drain
Inspect the condensate drain for clogs or blockages.
Fan and Motor Check fan blades for damage or signs of wear.
Overall Performance Test Measure the temperature difference between supply and return air to ensure proper cooling.
Verify that all vents are blowing cool air evenly throughout the space.
